Tokio Hotel's New Album "Humanoid" !!!

At LONG last, October 6, the day you've been waiting not so patiently for is FINALLY here! Tokio Hotel's Humanoid album is out in the United States and worldwide. And Humanoid -- Tokio Hotel's third album -- was worth every minute of the wait.
Humanoid is Tokio Hotel's most mature effort to date, and while it's a serried selection of absolute destroyers like "Automatic," it's also packed with profound poignancy, heavyhearted existential dread, moments of meaning, and glimmers of hope. Musically, Tokio Hotel still delivers their signature loud, fast, and hard sound you've come to expect, but it's louder, faster, harder with more intent -- less for the sake of noise, and more for the sake of music and meaning. The band's New Wave electro experimentation -- listen for undeniable traces of Depeche Mode's Violator ("Personal Jesus," anyone?), Duran Duran's Rio (the chorus of "Save A Prayer" comes to mind) and even elements of Queen ("Somebody To Love") -- works to awesome effect, all of which unite to drive home Tokio Hotel's concept of overcoming alienation and going-through-motions dull automation to find a real human connection and, ultimately, love.
Watch the video I shot below (squeee!) to find out my favorite song off of "Humanoid." And, of course, tell me your favorite song off Humanoid. And of course, HAPPY HUMANOID DAY, and thank you thank you and danke schoen, Tokio fans, for reading the MTV Buzzworthy Blog!

Panic! At The Disco (Lineup change and Vices & Virtues)

In spring 2009, the band began recording material for their third studio album, Vices & Virtues. However, on July 6, 2009, Ryan Ross and Jon Walker announced via the band's official website that the two were leaving the band. The statement, in part, read: "Ryan Ross and Jon Walker will be leaving Panic at the Disco to embark on a musical excursion of their own. Though the four of us have made music together in the past, we've creatively evolved in different directions which has compromised what each of us want to personally achieve. Over the years, we have remained close and honest with each other, which helped us to realize that our goals were different and that parting ways is truly what is best for each of us." In an interview following the split, Ross explained that he first brought the idea to Smith in late June 2009 over lunch: "Spencer and I had lunch and caught up for a while, and then the big question came up, like, 'Well, what do you want to do?' and I said, 'Well, I think it might be best if we kind of do our own thing for a while,' and he said, 'I'm glad you said that, because I was going to say the same thing,' " Ross recalled. "And there was really no argument, which is really the best way that could've worked out." Ross said the split was largely due to creative differences between him and Urie. Urie wanted the band to explore a more polished pop sound, while Ross — and, by extension, Walker — was interested in making retro-inspired rock.
The news asserted that both tour plans with Blink-182 in August 2009 and new album production "will continue as previously announced,"and the announcement ended with the teaser for a "surprise" soon to come. The following day, Alternative Press broke the news that "New Perspective," the first song recorded without Ross and Walker, would debut the following month on radio and as a part of the soundtrack to the film Jennifer's Body. On July 10, 2009, Alternative Press also reported that the band had regained the exclamation point, and included a new demo track by the band entitled "Oh Glory". "New Perspective" was released on July 28, 2009. Former The Cab member Ian Crawford filled in for Ross on their tour during the summer of 2009. Dallon Weekes, singer/songwriter of the indie band The Brobecks, filled in for Walker on bass on the tour as well.
The band re-entered the studio during early 2010 and spent much of the year recording their third studio album. On January 18, 2011, the band revealed that their new album, Vices & Virtues, would officially be released on March 22, 2011. The album was produced by Butch Walker and John Feldmann. The record's first single, "The Ballad of Mona Lisa", was released digitally on February 1, 2011, with the music video being released February 8, 2011. The band played 2 new, unheard songs "Nearly Witches (Ever Since We Met...)" and "Let's Kill Tonight" at recent concerts. On March 9, 2011, Panic! At The Disco released a short film titled "The Overture" which featured snippets of four, unheard songs: "Let's Kill Tonight", "Hurricane", "Ready to Go (Get Me Out of My Mind)", and "Nearly Witches (Ever Since We Met...)". On March 14, 2011, Panic! At The Disco streamed the full Vices & Virtues album on their Facebook page.

Paramore

Paramore is a pop punk band from Franklin, Tennessee. The band consists of lead vocalist Hayley Williams, lead guitarist Josh Farro, bassist Jeremy Davis and drummer Zac Farro. Paramore released their debut All We Know Is Falling in 2005, an EP entitled The Summer Tic in 2006, and their third release Riot! in 2007.

Formation and All We Know Is Falling (2002-2005)

The Franklin, Tennessee-based band Paramore was formed by members: brothers Zac and Josh Farro, Jeremy Davis and Hayley Williams, with the addition of Jason Bynum later on. At the age of 13, Williams moved from her hometown of Meridian, Mississippi to the Nashville suburb, where she met the brothers. The name Paramore had come from a friend of the band's mother's maiden name, and after finding the meaning of the word ("secret lover") the band took up the name.

Over the following years, Paramore performed at venues outside the greater Nashville area, including the concert festivals Purple Door and Warped Tour. John Janick at the label Fueled by Ramen got ahold of Paramore's demos and went to a Taste of Chaos performance in Orlando, Florida to see the band perform live. After a small performance at a warehouse, the band was signed to the label in April 2005. Shortly before they began to record their debut album All We Know Is Falling, Davis, the bassist left the band. All We Know Is Falling was released on July 24, 2005 and reached #30 on the Billboard's Heatseekers Chart. The album was, for the most part, about Davis' departure from the band. Hembree was later added to the line-up to replace Davis. Paramore was featured on the Shira Girl Stage of the 2005 Warped Tour and later that December Hunter Lamb replaced Bynum on guitar.

Riot! (2006-Present)

In January of 2006 they were a part of the Winter Go West Tour where they played alongside Seattle bands Amber Pacific and The Lashes. In the spring of 2006 they were an opening act on the headlining tours for Bayside and then The Rocket Summer. After being asked by the band, Davis returned to Paramore. They also toured the United Kingdom from October 5 to October 15, 2006, where they ended in London at The Mean Fiddler. Paramore also toured in Japan for the Punk Spring Fest and dates in Australia. During the summer of 2006, Paramore played a portion of Warped Tour again, primarily on the Volcom and Hurley Stages. Their first night on the Main Stage was at their hometown show of Nashville. Paramore's first United States headlining tour began on August 2, 2006 to a sold-out audience with support from This Providence, Cute Is What We Aim For, and Hit the Lights with the final show in Nashville, Tennessee. That year they were also voted "Best New Band" by readers of Kerrang! magazine, and Williams as #2 "Sexiest Female".

In 2007, Paramore was named by NME as one of ten bands to watch out for in their "New Noise 2007" feature. In addition to that, the band played an acoustic set for the grand opening of a Warped Tour exhibit at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame that opened in January. The dress Williams wore in the video for "Emergency" was also put into the exhibit. That year Paramore recorded their second album, RIOT!, from January 2007 to March 2007, without the guitar of Hunter Lamb (who left the band early in 2007 to get married). Riot was released June 12, 2007 recorded with New Jersey producer David Bendeth. The album entered the Billboard 200 at number 20, the UK charts at number 24 and sold 44,000 its first week in the United States. The first single off of the album, "Misery Business," is, according to vocalist Hayley Williams, "more honest than anything I've ever written, and the guys matched that emotion musically." Lamb has now been temporarily replaced by a guitarist Taylor York for the duration of touring. Summer of 2007 saw Paramore, yet again participating on the Warped Tour.

Recently, Paramore has been featured in spots on MTV performing acoustic versions of their songs or acting in short accompaniments to MTV program commercials. As "MTV Artists of the Week" the band filmed the spots in Queens, New York and they have a faux camping theme. Mtv.com also has a collection of short videos with the band to promote Riot as well.

Maroon 5 have been readying their third studio album. It's called "" and scheduled to be released in the United Stateson September 21 with its new materials to be previewed during the band's upcoming tour which will begin on July 31 in Saratoga.

The album is worked on with the help from producer Mutt Lange. It is "kind of hearkens back to the spirit behind the first record () and is less like the second one () - or is a combination of both, the best elements of both all in one," frontman Adam Levine told Billboard.

"He thinks huge; he wants to reach everybody in every country. He doesn't want to dumb things down, but he wants to make things understandable and accessible," he praised the producer. "And we don't think about things like that. I just think about how I'm feeling at any particular moment or what I want to express musically. So I think he took this music and really magnified it bigger than it ever could have been before."

Of the studio session, Adam said, "It was a really long process. Some people can go in and bang out a record in a month, and that's a totally valid process. But for some reason I want to make sure no stone goes unturned and every single possible idea is brought to the foreground.

That's just how we like to do things."

A single called "Misery" is described as "the most Maroon 5-sounding song on the album." Another track "Out of Goodbyes" has country vibe with  featured on it. A '60s pop-flavored song "Stutter" is promised to be different unlike anything they have recorded before.

The tracklisting is still being determined, but MTV Europe have obtained a list of songs which possibly make the cut to the record.
  • "How"
  • "Never Gonna Leave"
  • "Wasted Years"
  • "Last Chance"
  • "Don't Know Much About That"
  • "Out of Goodbyes"
  • "I Can't Lie"
  • "Give a Little More"

Alter Bridge is an American rock band that was formed in 2004 in OrlandoFlorida by then-former Creed members Mark Tremonti (lead guitar), Brian Marshall (bass), and Scott Phillips (drums). Lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Myles Kennedy, formerly of The Mayfield Four and the touring frontman of Slash's current solo project, joined shortly after the band's formation. Tremonti named the group after an actual bridge that used to be located in DetroitMichigan near his former home on Alter Road. The bridge led to an unsafe area, and the neighborhood children, who saw the other side of the bridge as the unknown, were forbidden to cross it. According to Tremonti, the name of the band symbolizes choice and looking to the future.
Despite Creed's multi-platinum success, Alter Bridge arose with only gold status with their first album, One Day Remains, which was released on Wind-up Records in August 2004 to generally negative reviews. Selling 750,000 copies, it peaked at #5 on the Billboard200 and remained at that spot for fourteen weeks. In October 2007, after signing to Universal Republic, the band released Blackbird, which received mostly positive reviews and peaked at #13 on the Billboard 200 and at #4 on Billboard'Rock Albums chart. After touring extensively and working on other projects over the next three years, Alter Bridge reconvened to work on their third album. Released in October 2010 on Roadrunner Records, and later self-released via EMI in North America in November 2010, AB III was met with critical acclaim and debuted at #17 on the Billboard 200 and more successfully on other charts. In January 2011, the band released their firstlive album and concert filmLive from Amsterdam. Originally released in August 2009 exclusively on Amazon, it was met with two years of delays before being released in stores.
Alter Bridge was faced with criticism for sounding like Creed in the early part of its career. However, the band has since made several notable critical achievements and has been met with generally very positive reception in recent years, despite relatively low mainstream success and label support for the majority of its career. The individual band members are also known for their involvement with many notable side projects, including solo and session work, Creed, and Kennedy's collaborations with Slash and former members of Led Zeppelin.] In 2009, Ultimate Guitar Archive named Alter Bridge the 36th greatest band of the decade.
